Classic “Horse Shoe” Louis-Philippe (Large Size).
The Louis-Philippe shape appeared during the 1830-1848 period and is a classic among French mirrors.
This beautiful 19thcentury example presents the typical upper round corners (which sometimes gives it the “horse shoe” nickname), a surround of beads and a frame “en doucine” (curved).
The frame is decorated with a sober rinceau of foliage elements painted in the typical golden hue of the time.
The glass is in very condition.
The back is covered with the original wooden plank.
