Long Rectangular Farm Table - Chestnut Wood - SOLD
SOLD - A 1.96m-long farm table of the 1900s in chestnut wood so typical of the Ardèche region (South East part of France). Tables made of that wood are really hard to come by! We were very lucky to find this example in such a remarkable condition in the little village of Lambesc. The wood grain is magnificent and presents a beautiful natural patina.
The previous owners bought it from an antiques dealer who noted the typical characteristics of a farm table of that age: a narrow table top and two drawers, one for cutlery, the other one for bread. They have had many Christmas parties around it with up to 10 family members sitting comfortably!
